Lake Louise ski resort, located in Banff National Park near the village of Lake Louise, Alberta. It is located 57 km (35 miles) west of Banff. Lake Louise is one of three major ski resorts located in Banff National Park.  The Lake Louise Ski Resort in Canada is probably one of the most beautiful places in the world to ski or snowboard. The views are nothing short of incredible. It is the largest of the Banff ski resorts 1,700 hectares (4,200 acres). The terrain is spread across three areas; from wide groomed, intermediate, long runs on the frontside to chutes and steep bowls with great glades on the back side and the Larch area. Each area offers something for everyone.
Lake Louise Ski Resort has 10 lifts, of which 3 are magic carpets. With the exception of the Paradise chair, the Lake Louise ski area is serviced by modern fast lifts. The long Grizzly Express Gondola is very impressive and provides a great opportunity to appreciate the spectacular views.
The average annual snowfall is 3.6 metres (140 inches).  It often has very low temps so the quality of the powder that falls is generally very dry and fluffy.

Purcell's Heliskiing day lodge and heli-pad are located in the beautiful mountain town of Golden, BC, where the Rockies end and the Purcell mountains begin.  Purcell has been operating for more than 40 years, focusing on staying small and offering personal service. A maximum of two groups per day enjoy 2,000 square kilometres (772 square miles) of untouched backcountry lead by experienced guides. For just a single day or multiple, Purcell delivers an epic powder adventure. It’s a full day program starting with a concise but thorough safety orientation, then a thrilling flight takes you to their massive operating area where you’ll ski/ride five runs of fresh tracks in backcountry heaven. Five may not be enough! Their groups are made up of 9 guests and 3 guides, and all 12 fly out to the terrain together. Once you start skiing, the group can be split according to participant ability.  No waiting for those that are too slow for you; or, no pressure from those faster than you.  Each group has their own guide, plus a tail guide for sweep and safety. For one day or many, join a group for an unforgettable day of first tracks and fresh backcountry powder.
